*NEW* YOGA NIDRA with Mary Whidden on Tuesday beginning June 20 at 9:30-10:30 am.  A variety of yoga postures will be practiced for 40 minutes with the focus on safe and proper alignment, adaptability, and self-acceptance.  Then, a guided Yoga Nidra session will follow for 20 minutes. Yoga Nidra, a Sanskrit term meaning “yogic sleep” is a deep relaxation technique and a form of meditation. Through a Yoga Nidra session, the body becomes completely relaxed and the student turns the awareness inward by listening to a set of instructions from the teacher, much like a guided meditation. Yoga Nidra offers other amazing health benefits including; soothes the nervous system, reduces fatigue, can lower blood pressure just to name a few. PLAY POOL - Available daily from 8:30 am until 4:30 pm. For experienced players, please come down on Wednesdays!


INDOOR PING PONG - On Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm. Drop in Ping Pong. Paddles and balls available. All welcome! Come, play and enjoy.


BARRE with MARCELLA HEFFRON on Mondays at 11:00 am and Thursdays at 9:30 am.  Barre is a fun and popular fitness option and is a great workout for seniors because it is high energy and low impact. Barre is a workout technique inspired by elements of ballet, yoga and pilates. It tones and strengthens muscles and increases balance skills and it is fun! There will be upbeat music but no dance training necessary. The ballet barre will be used for balance and lower body toning. Light weights will be used for toning the arms and a mat will be used for core and stretching. Bring socks with grips on the bottom.  Cost: $6 per class


BROADWAY STYLE TAP with JAN HAROLD on Wednesdays from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm.  Tap away! Dancing makes Broadway musicals more lively. Come and learn some fun routines and move to the music of your favorite Broadway Show Tunes. For tap you will learn such styles as soft shoe, up tempo, and waltz clog style. You can purchase black tap shoes on Amazon, but for your first class wear leather bottomed shoes. You are also invited to come and observe the class if you have any questions or want to know more and Jan can talk with you. Cost: $6.00 per class


PICKLEBALL FOR BEGINNERS on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 am - 11:30 am. Instructions for Beginners Thursday June 1 & 29 at either 8:30 am or 10:00 am.  There will be two cycles of Introduction on two different Thursdays (sign up either 8:30-10:00 or 10:00-11:30) and there will be dedicated time for free play for new players each Tuesday morning. Bring a folding chair and water.  If you have a equipment feel free to bring them, otherwise equipment will be provided at front desk. Limit: 10 for the each session of Instructions, no sign up for free play.  Call the senior center at 781-834-5581.


PERPETUAL MOTION with LEANNE O’BRIEN on Tuesdays and Fridays from 9:00 am - 10:00 am and Thursdays from 8:45 am - 9:45 am.  A fitness class for all levels. A combination of movement, strength and balance. Combining low impact aerobic moves, light weights for strength and a chair for balance and stability. Moving perpetually all while motivated by fun music! Cost: $6 per class. 


SENIOR BOXING FITNESS with JANET ENOS on Mondays from 9:30 am - 10:30 am.  Works with hand-eye coordination, speed and balance and core strength. Janet will get you moving and working on boxing fitness. This class will add pep to your step.  Cost: $6 per class. Sign up at front desk or by calling 781-834-5581


TAI CHI with MIKE SHOWSTACK on Mondays from 9:30 am – 10:30 am.  QiGong is the most fundamental tool in Chinese traditional medicine.  It involves the whole body, not just a particular muscle group.  The postures are designed to exercise internal organs and induce healing.  Tai Chi is also a powerful weapon against disease and helps the body maintain health, posture, circulation, respiration, and digestions. And it is stress free. Participants should wear loose clothing.  Cost: $6.00 per class.  NO CLASS JUNE 5 & 12


CHINESE HEALING ARTS w/SIFU Mike Showstack on Fridays from 11:15 am - 12:15 pm.  A novel approach to the health benefits using the methods of the Shaolin Temple to increase stamina and harmony of the mind and body. Sifu Mike Showstack leads this program which will include energy work, QiGong, the most fundamental tool in Chinese traditional medicine, as well as a moderate aerobic warm-up of 15-20 minutes followed by an introduction to the Temple’s approach to martial arts. Come and participate for health, peace, balance, posture and circulation. Limit 15. Cost: $6 per class. NO CLASS JUNE 9 & 16


BALANCE & STRENGTH CHAIR EXERCISE with NEIL SULLIVAN on Wednesdays from 9:30 am – 10:30 am.  The classes will consist of strength & conditioning exercises, stretches and various balance drills designed to increase balance, strength and flexibility. The exercises utilized in the class are focused on specific key muscles and joints designed to increase ROM(range of motion) and strength in order to bring greater stability and increased awareness and reaction time so as to improve balance and prevent falls.  Cost: $5.00 per class


LOW IMPACT LINE DANCE LESSONS with DOTTY BELANGER on Tuesdays from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm.  Line Dance is choreographed dance routines with repeated sequences of simple steps, in which a group of people, standing in lines, perform the steps in unison to music. No partner needed, which will put a smile on your face!  This traditional line dance class will include several genres such as Rock, Waltz, Foxtrot, Latin, Rock and Country. Line Dance provides many health benefits; low impact aerobic exercise with social interaction. If you can walk, you can line dance! Cost: $5.00 per class.  


FLOOR YOGA with TRICIA GLYNN on Tuesdays & Wednesdays from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm.  Breathing & relaxation techniques stressed. We use mats, seated & standing poses along with floor work. Participants may make use of a chair to facilitate getting up and down from the floor. Please bring your own mat. Please bring your own yoga mat!  Cost: $6.00 per class.  


HEART & HAND EXERCISE CLASS with JANET ENOS on Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:30 am - 10:30 am.  Heart & Hand emphasizes overall strength, balance, immunity and flexibility.  Addressing hand-eye coordination, increasing energy and ease of movement. This is an arthritis based science exercise class facilitated by certified arthritis instructor Janet Enos. Cost: $6.00 per class  


WALKING GROUP with TYLER NIMS on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 am – 9:30 am.   The group meets at the Senior Center parking lot for a variety of scenic walks in and about the area. June 1 – parking at 26 Mariner’s Drive and walking Pudding Hill and Tea Rock lane. June 6 Rexhame Beach South River side low tide 7:42. June 8 - Rexhame Beach ocean side low tide 9:27. June 13 – R.R. Right of Way from South River St to Clay Pit Road. June 15 – O’Neil Farm Duxbury off Autumn Ave. June 20 – Rexhame Beach ocean side low tide 7:42. COMPLETE FITNESS with BARBARA LEARY on Thursdays from 9:00 am – 10:00 am.  Join us for a complete workout which includes Aerobic movement for heart health, strength training for stronger muscles and flexibility for increased Range of Motion. We perform the exercises standing  and seated with options to modify when needed. Cost: $6 per class.


FLOOR YOGA with LINDA EVANS on Thursdays from 10:00 am – 11:00 am.  Participants meet to join in the practice of yoga. Breathing & relaxation techniques are stressed. Asanas develop balance, flexibility, concentration & strength. We use mats (bring your own) for floor work, seated & standing poses. Participants may make use of a chair to facilitate get-ting up & down from the floor. Cost: $6.00 per class


BALANCE TUNE UP with BARBARA LEARY on Fridays from 10:00 am - 11:00 am.  Things that may affect our balance as we age include side effects from medication, visual changes, hearing loss, poor posture, weak muscles & loss of flexibility. This class is geared towards improving your balance, strength and flexibility, improve posture/core strength, gait training and movement to increase joint range of motion. Learn “tools” to keep you active and increase your confidence to stay on your feet. Cost: $6 per class.


ZUMBA GOLD ® with DEB RAFFERTY on Thursdays from 1:00 pm -2:00 pm.  ZUMBA GOLD ® is a dance fitness program specifically designed to take the rhythms of both Latin and International Dance (including American pop, etc.) and bring to the active older adult, beginner participant and anyone requiring specific modifications. The choreographed routines include cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and flexibility. Cost: $5.00 per class


GENTLE YOGA with KATHERINE LORTIE on Mondays and Fridays from 9:30 am – 10:30 am.  This Yoga Class is for first time students & the experienced yogi! This is gentle stretch and flow that will leave you feeling revitalized!  Gentle yoga is a great place to take it slower, and still experience all the benefits of yoga. This class focuses on releasing tension, connecting with the breath and helping students gain strength and flexibility. Gentle yoga uses classical hatha postures with slight variations to accommodate all levels of yoga students. Bring your own yoga mat!  Cost: $6.00 per class


ZUMBA & TONING CLASS with JUSTINE HOBIN on Mondays and Fridays from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm.  Zumba is a series of fitness programs specifically designed to take the exciting Latin and international dance rhythms and bring them to the active older adult, the beginner participant. Cost: $5.00 per class


ZUMBA®/CARDIO DANCE and TONING with DEB RAFFERTY on Wednesdays from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm.  Zumba®/Cardio Dance and Toning is a full body workout. It is choreographed using a variety of motivating music from the warm-up to the cool down.  Included are intermittent toning routines using light weights (1-3 lbs). All routines can be done without the weights.  Balance routines will also be included.  The class is designed to improve muscle strength and endurance, flexibility and balance!  Modifications will be shown. Cost: $5.00 class


ESSENTRICS with Barbara Leary on Fridays from 11:00 am – 11:45am.  A return of this popular class! As seen on PBS and created by Miranda Esmonde-White, this is a full body workout with flowing movement to simultaneously strengthens and stretch all muscle groups. The result increased strength, flexibility and joint range of motion. This workout can be done standing or seated. Cost: $6 per class.
